2016 marked the 59th German-American Steuben Parade on 5th Avenue in NYC. The Grand Marshals were Katarina Witt and German Ambassador to the US, Peter Wittig. The Parade featured 9 marching Divisions, 13 Groups from overseas, 26 colorful Floats and thousands of marchers from across the country. The night before the Parade is a fundraising Gala and Silent Auction which took place at The Lighthouse. After the Parade there is an Oktoberfest in Central Park.
