2023 celebrated the 66th Annual German-American Steuben Parade on 5th Avenue in NYC. The Grand Marshal was Thomas Von Essen, Commissioner of the NYC Fire Department during the 9/11 terror attacks, when 343 of his firefighters lost their lives. The Parade consisted of 9 Divisions, numerous Floats and American Local Marching Bands. The Committee welcomed hundreds of participating groups from NY, NJ, CT, PA and TX. There were 14 Groups from Germany. The night before the Parade was a fundraising Gala and Silent Auction which took place at The View at Battery Park.
