Linda Tafel Twill was Miss German-America in 1966. Linda is an event planner from NJ and recently has once again become involved with the German-American Community by joining the SSC. Linda has fond memories of being Queen and enjoys showing her grandchildren her scrapbooks from her year as Miss German-America. Being German is a large part of Linda’s identity. She takes great pride in the fact that all her grandchildren call her Oma.

One of Linda’s fondest memories of Queen was while traveling to Germany as a Goodwill Ambassador. Linda was able to sit in First Class, here she met a gentleman who paid for her parents to join her in first class for their return trip!

Linda’s advice for future courts is “It’s a wonderful experience that will have a lifetime effect and expose you to things many have not experienced. Enjoy the journey!”
