Celebrate German-American Friendship Month!

This year the German-American Steuben Parade will be marching for its 62nd year! Every September the German-American culture is celebrated in the New York Metropolitan Area, join in on the fun for the whole month!

GERMAN BEER PAIRING DINNER

Tuesday, September 10, 6:30 PM

Prost, 652 Franklin Ave, Garden City, NY 11530

Join us for our first beer pairing event! Enjoy three German beers with food pairings, picked specifically for each beer. Reservations Required, 3 Beer Tastings with 6 Course Dinner Pairing is $50 per person including tip. For ticket info and reservations please e-mail RSVP@GermanParadeNYC.org

SPECIAL HAPPY HOUR BENEFIT

Bierhaus NYC, 712 Third Avenue

Join us for a very special Happy Hour with the 62nd German-American Steuben Parade Committee of NYC!! Our special celebrity Guest Bartenders are the former Miss German-America representatives of the last twelve years! STEUBEN PARADE WELCOME

**NEW LOCATION** Garibaldi Plaza in Washington Square Park

The Parade Committee welcomes over 15 groups from Overseas to march in this year’s Parade. Join us and get up close to see their beautiful costumes and uniforms and to hear the marching bands warm up for their performance on Fifth Avenue the next day.

STEUBEN PARADE GALA & SILENT AUCTION

Friday, September 20, 6 PM – 11 PM

The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers

The Gala event features tasting stations with specialty dishes prepared by over 10 top chefs from the Metropolitan Area. Seated dinner and open bar included. The Silent Auction includes items such as a Christof Nieman Print, jewelry and collector item pieces. Please see our website for a listing of all the Silent Auction items up for bid. The main event! Join us on Fifth Avenue and cheer for the marchers from all over the United States, Germany, Austria and Switzerland for the 62nd time! Enjoy the colorful music and dance groups, the groups in Karneval costumes and historic Tracht. Celebrate our Grand Marshals, see the many magnificent floats celebrating over three centuries of German- American friendship. Enjoy the best view of the Parade from the Grand Stand on Fifth Avenue. Central Park Rumsey Playfield – Summer Stage – Enter Central Park at East 72nd Street

Come celebrate Oktoberfest in the heart of New York City. Enjoy a pitcher of German Bier and a bratwurst. Entertainment by Die Schlauberger and Die Donaumusikanten. NY PHILHARMONIC- SYMPHONIE FANTASTIQUE

Berlioz’s passion-propelled Symphonie fantastique follows the artist-protagonist to a glittering ball, the march to the scaffold, and a demonic Witches’ Sabbath with music that dazzles with blazing orchestral colors and effects. A showcase for Augustin Hadelich (“there was no feat he couldn’t master,” Cincinnati Enquirer), Sibelius’s radiant Violin Concerto evokes a pristine Nordic landscape.
